Cam Newton Makes Something Good Out of Bad Situation

Cam Newton spoke for the first time since the altercation at his 7 on 7 event. His response was eloquent and somewhat surprising. Based on how the media covered the altercation, I expected Cam to follow suit, and blame the other guys.

The general consensus, after the video surfaced, was that Cam Newton was the victim. No good deed goes unpunished. it would have been easy for Cam second that emotion. But he didn’t do that. he took the total opposite approach.

Cam showed contrition and apologized for his actions. He then spoke to the youth and advised them to learn from his mistakes. He took responsibility for the situation because he said to those much is given, much is expected. The response showed remarkable growth and maturity. It was also inspirational in a sense to hear how much he really ‘gets it.’
